Alfredo Addeo is an international expert in thoracic cancers, is an attending physician at the HUG Oncology Department and head of the Lung Cancer Centre. After obtaining his medical degree at the University of Turin (Italy) in 2001, he first worked for four years at the Oncology Centre of this university to complete his profile in oncology. He spent 2 years in the Laboratory of Immunology at the University of Turin to study the activity of dendritic cells in cancer. He continued his career in oncology at the San Giovanni Bosco Hospital in Turin as head of the outpatient oncology activity. From 2010, he move to the UK for nearly 8 years to better explore medical and translational oncology at the Lincoln county hospital then at the Bristol haematology and oncology centre where he became responsible for the activity of thoracic cancers. He joined the HUG in 2017 as an senior consultant oncologist the Oncology Department. He gained his “privat docent” in 2021 with a thesis entitled: Biomarkers for immune checkpoint inhibitors in non-small cell lung cancer. Now it is available on the University of Geneva website. Dr Addeo is involved in several national and international societies : • Vice-Chairman of the Lung Cancer Project Group of the Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research (SAKK). • Member of the ESMO faculty, thoracic group, and member of the European society for medical oncology (ESMO) • Member of the European thoracic oncology platform (ETOP)

The goal of Dutt laboratory is to understand the somatic genetics of human cancer and help develop the next generation of effective targeted therapies to improve treatment of cancer patients. The group specifically focuses on the genomic features of genetic alterations underlying oncogenesis and cancer progression in the lung, breast, cervical, gallbladder, head and neck, and others cancers. The efforts involve using advanced sequencing methodologies followed by functional validation to study the implications of genetic alterations in identifying novel cancer dependencies, therapeutic strategies, and biomarkers.

Dr. Chehal is an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, Gulf Medical University (GMU), Ajman, UAE Dr. Chehal is an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, Khalifa University (KU), Abu Dhabi, UAE Dr. Chehal graduated from the college of Medicine at Baghdad University/Iraq (MBChB) in 1996. He did his Internal Medicine residency at Makassed General Hospital (Affiliated with American University of Beirut), Lebanon, between 1997 and 2000. He did his Hematology/Oncology fellowship at the American University of Beirut (AUBMC), Lebanon, between 2000 and 2003 (Lebanese Board). He obtained Fellowship of the American College of Physician (FACP) in 2013. He obtained the European Certification of Medical Oncology (ECMO) in 2009 and Re-certification in 2014 and 2021. Dr. Chehal is a member of many national and international societies including ASCO, ESMO, EHA,….. He had an important role in Tumor registry in Lebanon in 2002. Dr. Chehal acted as chairperson, moderator, advisor, and member of scientific committee in many local and international congresses. Dr. Chehal has 27 published articles in peer reviewed international journals; he is the first author on 9 of them, in addition to 31 abstracts. He joined Mafraq hospital From May 2006 until December 2019. He served as head of Hematology Oncology division at Mafraq Hospital from December 2018 till December 2019 His main interests are Lung cancer, Breast Cancer, GI malignancies and Lymphoma.

Professor Ben Solomon is a medical oncologist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Professor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Following a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Colorado he returned to Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in 2006 where he heads the lung medical oncology service and has a clinical and translational research focus on lung cancer and phase I studies of novel anti-cancer therapies. He has been involved in the clinical development of targeted therapies in lung cancer, including the phase I through to phase III clinical trials with the first in class ALK inhibitor crizotinib and lorlatinib that led to their approval in the treatment of ALK-rearranged NSCLC. He continues to be involved in the development of novel ALK inhibitors and other novel targeted therapies and immunotherapies in NSCLC. He is the scientific chair of the Thoracic Oncology Group of Australia (TOGA) and Board member of the Cancer Council of Victoria. He has over 200 peer reviewed publications and was listed in Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers for 2019, 2020 and 21.

Christine Lovly, M.D., Ph.D., is a physician-scientist with a special interest in thoracic malignancies. Dr. Lovly’s clinical practice focuses primarily on the care of patients with lung cancer. Her laboratory research is directed at understanding and developing improved therapeutic strategies for specific clinically relevant molecular subsets of lung cancer.

Dr. Diaeddine Trad is a Consultant of Medical Oncology, at Tawam Hospital, in Al Ain, UAE. He is a member of the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). He is an investigator in several ongoing clinical trials. Dr. Trad is certified as a specialist in internal medicine, hematology and oncology by the Lebanese Ministry of Health. His research interests include; non-small cell lung adenocarcinoma and locally advanced breast cancer. Dr. Trad was a speaker in many international conferences and forums.

Dr. Dorai Ramanathan is a highly qualified Oncologist from the United Kingdom with over 13 years’ experience in managing adult cancer patients alone. His expertise is both in Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy for all adult solid tumors. His sites of special interest are Breast, Lung, Gynaecological and Colon cancer.

Dr.Emad Anwar Dawoud, MD, PhD is a Consultant Clinical Oncology at Tawam Hospital (Affiliated with Johns Hopkins) Al Ain, UAE

Dr Fathi Azribi is a Consultant Medical Oncologist and Chief of Medical Oncology Division at Tawam Hospital. He graduated from Tripoli University, Libya, then completed specialty training in Oncology in the UK and obtained a Certificate of Completion of Training in Medical Oncology in October 2009. His main interest is in thoracic, breast, gynaecological and gastrointestinal malignancies; with expertise in treatment with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormonal and targeted therapy. He published several papers and abstracts in peer reviewed journals. He is also the Program Director of the medical oncology fellowship program at Tawam Hospital.

Professor Francesco Grossi is currently Director of the Division of Medical Oncology and Associate Professor at the University of Insubria in Varese, Italy. His major interests, apart from lung cancer and mesothelioma, are translational research in thoracic oncology and new drug development.

Dr. Ishwaria Subbiah is a medical oncologist and a palliative care and integrative medicine physician in the Division of Cancer Medicine at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Subbiah is uniquely qualified, having completed three clinical fellowships at MD Anderson in developmental therapeutics, medical oncology, and palliative medicine, all collectively forming her robust foundation in oncology practice and data-driven holistic care. She has an extensive expertise in measures development, creating, and validating novel instruments for behavioral health and holds several peer-reviewed grants including from the American Cancer Society (ACS), the Andrew Sabin Family Foundation, and the Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG)/Hope Foundation. She is the principal investigator on the global study for the comprehensive characterization of clinician experience and wellness during the pandemic and, in the process, developed and validated a novel measure of preparedness and self-efficacy.

Dr. Naidoo is an Assistant Professor of Oncology and attending physician at the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins University, and specializes in the field of lung cancer and immunotherapy. Dr. Naidoo is devoted to providing the best possible care for her patients with lung and thoracic cancers. She has a special research interest in clinical trials of combinations of immunotherapies for the treatment of lung cancer and other thoracic cancers, as well as the side effects of immunotherapies for cancer, why these happen, and how they can be best managed. She serves on US national guidelines (NCCN) for the management of immune-related toxicity, and runs an institutional multidisciplinary team for immune toxicity at Johns Hopkins.

Dr. Jawaher Ansari completed his Clinical Oncology specialist training in Birmingham, UK and worked as a Consultant at the Beatson Cancer Centre in Glasgow, the second largest cancer center in the UK, prior to moving to the Middle East. Dr Ansari has been a principal investigator for several practice-changing international clinical trials and has authored several peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters. His specialist interests are Urology, Breast and Lung cancers.

Dr Jordi Remon, MD, PhD is medical oncologist from 2005. Currently Dr Remon will be full time cancer specialist at Gustave Roussy, Thoracic Oncology department from November 2022. Dr Remon deals with patients with thoracic malignancies. His special interests are in the field of personalised therapeutic approaches, immunotherapy, as well as thymic malignancies. Dr Remon is involved in different ongoing clinical trials. Dr Remon is member from ESMO, EORTC (secretary of Lung Cancer Group since January 2021), IASLC, and SLCG. 

Dr. Kaltar Das has done his internal medicine fellowship in 2008 and Oncology fellowship in 2011 from Shaukat khanum Memorial cancer hospital and research center Pakistan, which is one the largest dedicated oncology center in the region. He has worked as oncologist in Pakistan, Qatar and currently working with Dubai health authority since 2012 (09 years). He has been participating as faculty member in EIOC (formerly UAE-CC) since 08 consecutive years. His special interest involves GI and Urological malignancies.

Dr. Kumar is a professor and medical oncologist in Tata Memorial Hospital and has more than two decades of experience.He is the present President and convener of Indian Cooperative Oncology Network (ICON).He has so far published over a hundred research and review articles/papers in journals of national and international repute.He has so far undertaken over 80 projects as Principal Ivestigator and Co-Investigator.He is a member of many international and national scientific societies and associations and has delivered talks in several conferences.These days he is proactive in increasing awareness about lung cancer and has successfully conceptualized Lung Cancer Consortium Asia ,he has significantly contributed in translational and clinical research work in the field of lung cancer and has published 17 papers in recent years.He is dedicated to create awareness about lung cancer with utmost importance to patient care and to strengthen future research.

Dr. Maroun El Khoury completed his basic medical training from Saint Joseph University School of Medicine Beirut, Lebanon in 1999. He is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and American Academy of Pain Management. Dr. Maroun El Khoury’s specialty is Oncology and currently work as a Consultant Oncologist.

Dr. Narjust Duma is the Associate Director of the Cancer Care Equity Program and a thoracic medical oncologist at the Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center. She completed her internal medicine residency in Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota where she was the chief fellow from 2018-2019. Dr. Duma’s clinical interests include targeted therapy for lung cancer and the care of women with lung cancer, including their unique aspects of cancer survivorship. She is the principal investigator of the Sexual Health Assessment in Women with Lung Cancer (SHAWL) Study, the largest study to date evaluating sexual dysfunction in women with lung cancer. Apart from her clinical interests in lung cancer, she is also a leading and productive researcher in cancer health disparities, gender and racial discrimination in medical education and medicine. In addition, Dr. Duma founded the Duma Lab in 2019. The laboratory focuses on lung cancer, social justice issues in medicine and medical education.

Dr. Natasha Leighl leads the Thoracic Medical Oncology Group at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, and is Professor in the Department of Medicine, and Adjunct Professor in the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. She holds the OSI Pharmaceuticals Foundation Chair in Cancer New Drug Development through the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. Dr Leighl’s main interest is in developing new treatments in lung cancer and improving lung cancer diagnostics. She is involved in clinical studies of novel agents for the treatment of thoracic cancers, has led several international and cooperative group studies in lung cancer and has served as a member of the Lung Disease Site Group Executive of the Canadian Cancer Clinical Trials Group.

Nouri Bennini has served as Consultant Oncologist at the Tawam Hospital in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates, since 1999. He received his general medicine diploma in 1988 from the University of Constantine in Algeria and undertook residency in medical oncology at the University of Bordeaux, France. At the University of Montpellier, France, Dr Bennini specialised in breast diseases. He has published several scientific papers and contributed to a number of oncology conferences.

Dr. Herbst is nationally recognized for his leadership and expertise in lung cancer treatment and research. He is best known for his work in developmental therapeutics and the personalized therapy of non-small cell lung cancer, in particular the process of linking genetic abnormalities of cancer cells to novel therapies.

Professor Sanjay Popat is a Consultant Thoracic Medical Oncologist at The Royal Marsden and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer in the Molecular Genetics and Genomics Group at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London.He is a specialist thoracic oncologist, and is an internationally recognised expert in the treatment of lung cancer, mesothelioma and cancers of the thymus (thymoma and thymic carcinoma). He is Chair of the British Thoracic Oncology Group (BTOG), and also the Advanced Diseases Sub-group of the UK NCRI Lung Cancer Clinical Studies Group. He is Cancer Divisional Co-Director of the NIHR-London South Clinical Research Network. He is active in the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Lung Group, the European Thoracic Oncology Platform (ETOP), and the International Thymic Malignancy Interest Group (ITMIG).

Dr. Shaheenah Dawood’s specialty is Oncology and currently works as a Consultant Oncologist in Mediclinic City Hospital. She currently serves as president of the Excellence in Oncology Care (EIOC) congress that is held annually in Dubai and is Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific Breast Cancer Summit (APBCS) & APGCS.

Dr. Sonia Otsmane is an experienced Medical Oncology-Haematology Consultant since 2004. Graduated from the Central faculty of Medecine Algiers in 1994. MD degree. Oncology-hematology board : Pierre and Marie curie institute in 2004. ESMO member. Member of ASCO. Member of Emirates oncology and hematology society. Member of Oncology society and Algerian order of physicians. Main interest: breast cancer, sarcomas, GI and GU malignancies and lymphomas. Has an interest and implicated in several clinical research. Publications and research ongoing on Hematology malignancies (Multiple myeloma /Lymphoma), Solid tumors mainly Breast cancer Head and neck tumors and Immunotherapy. Currently working as Medical Oncology Hematology Physician at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City.

Suresh Senan is the Professor of Clinical Experimental Radiotherapy at the Amsterdam University Medical Centers (VUmc location), The Netherlands. He completed training in radiotherapy and oncology in the United Kingdom. His research group is active in lung cancer, use of immune checkpoint inhibitors, magnetic resonance imaging-guided radiotherapy and stereotactic radiotherapy. He is a faculty member for thoracic malignancies at the European Society for Medical Oncology.

Dr Ullas Batra obtained his DM in Medical Oncology from the prestigious Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology. He has gained widespread experience in the management of various malignancies like Lung cancer, breast cancer, GI Cancers and hematological malignancies etc. He has also done perceptorship in various International Institutes like MD Anderson Cancer Centre, USA, Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia. Dr. Vanita Noronha is a Professor and Medical Oncologist at the Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. She has interest in lung, esophageal, head and neck and urologic cancers. Dr. Subbiah serves as the Principal Investigator in numerous trials, certainly leaving an accomplished impression on the national and international drug development community.

Dr. Zosia Piotrowska is with the Thoracic Oncology Program at Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr Piotrowska received her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine and trained in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and in haematology/oncology at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr Piotrowska’s scientific interests centre on targeted therapies and EGFR mutations. She is experienced in conducting clinical trials in the areas of NSCLC and SCLC. Her aim is not only to improve the therapeutic options in those areas, but to also understand the mechanisms underlying resistance to EGFR-positive NSCLC treatment.
