• Assist. Prof. Dr. Amal Al Haddad, RN, BSN, MSHRM, PhD • Dr Amal Al Haddad is the Operations Administrator at SSMC. • Dr Amal has over 17 years of experience serving various clinical, managerial, academic and research roles at multiple government and private institutions within UAE including; SEHA, Mediclinic Middle East, and the College of Medicine at the UAE University. • Dr. Amal obtained her PhD in Cancer Biology from the UAE University; a Master of Business and Management from the University of Wollongong- Dubai; and her nursing degrees from Abu Dhabi institute of nursing and Sharjah University. She also has a diploma in hematology and an advanced training in palliative and end-of-life care. She is a recognized subject matter expert, a trainer and a speaker at many national and international conferences. In addition, she won various scholarship, research grants, and research awards. Dr Al Haddad also have multiple ongoing research projects and peer-reviewed publications.

Khaled Al Qawasmeh qualified with Master’s Degree in Clinical Oncology Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA. He is an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) since 2009. Khaled has gained the prestigious Clinical Research Certification from USA and become a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) 2015. Khaled is the Adult Hemophilia Clinical Nurse Specialist. Khaled has published in national and international peer-reviewed journals. He is a researcher his main research interest is in the field of oncology/Hematology. Khaled is an official reviewer for the prestigious Cancer Nursing Journal. Khaled is currently a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator at Tawam Hospital and actively involved in the Management of Hemophilia patients.

Rosemary Wasti, RN, OCN®.Oncology Certified Nurse(OCN®) Oncology Nurse Manager at Medicilinic abu Dhabi, An active member at Oncology Nursing Society (ONS), International Society of Nurses in cancer (ISNCC). Earned Master degree of Science in Health care Management 2016, National certificate as oncology nursing from oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) Currently enrolled in for Master degree at Atlantic university, 2014.. Rosie been working as an oncology nurse for about 20 years, with extensive experience in the field of Oncology/Hematology. Rosie have worked in varied settings ranging from ward based work to radiotherapy and Chemotherapy to outpatient settings, with expert administration skills for delivering and managing patients receiving chemotherapy, continued my career in the Cancer research arena, giving me the opportunity to understand international standards and the necessity of adherence to these standards when delivering gold standard care. Special interest in cancer support and counselling.

• An enthusiastic compassionate nurse with 7 years’ experience in hematology oncology inpatient, self-motivated in career development through participating in several activities of public speaking for community health education (colon and breast cancer), in addition to engaging in internal educations in the hospital (workshops, courses, competencies, etc.). • Certified in oncology hematology, bone marrow transplant nurse and Acting Clinical Resource Nurse. • Participated in local and international conferences as a speaker (Hematology update 2018, EIOC 2019). • Took part in the starting journey of autologous stem cell transplantation in SKMC by Supervising, guiding and certifying the staff when providing care (pre, during and post) transplantation. • With good leadership skills by monitoring the staff performance and providing regular constructive feedback and proper guidance to achieve an outstanding patient care. • Working on becoming more specialized in bone marrow transplantation (more into Allogenic).

He worked at The William Osler Health System (Toronto) for 25 years (-2016) and while there was Chief of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, and lead of the clinical trials program (oncology) and continuing medical education (oncology). He was a past lead of CME for the Community Oncologists of Metropolitan Toronto (COMET), and a past Director of the Cancer Advocacy Coalition of Canada. He is a co-founder of the Physician Alliance for Cancer Care and Treatment (Canada), an oncologist led advocacy coalition, and is a scientific advisor for the Canadian Cancer Survivor Network, and the Canadian Breast Cancer Network. He is currently a medical oncologist at The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre, focusing on the treatment of breast, prostate cancers and melanoma and lead for the breast cancer disease site. He was the 2020 winner of the “Golden Throat” teaching award.
