Doctor Abdulqadir Ismail Al-Zarooni is currently working as a Consultant Urologist and Chief of Surgical Services in Shaik Khalifa General Hospital- Umm Quwain UAE. He is also the President of Emirates Urological Society 2013 until now. He completed his M.B.B.S in UAE University- Faculty of medicine and Health sciences 1986-1993. Doctor Abdulqadir Ismail Al-Zarooni began as a Urologist consultant at Zayed Military Hospital-Department of Urology. His excellence in practicing medicine led him to become the Member of the medical board between 2003 to 2010. He also had the experience of working at the Zayed Military Hospital-Department of Surgery 1995-1999. Further he became the Head of Surgical department in Zayed. Doctor Abdulqadir Ismail Al-Zarooni had a very strong interest in Oncology. During the year 2011-2013 he became the consultant UROLOGIST in Zayed military hospital. He is well known Panel member in Urologist Exam Panel In HAAD – Abu Dhabi, Urologist Exam Panel in Ministry of health- UAE and Peer Review Committee in DHCC – Dubai.

“Mr Ali was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Frimley Health Foundation NHS Trust in 2017. He leads the bladder cancer services and is a core member of the excellent Urology Department at Frimley Park Hospital. He was awarded his Masters degree in Urology from University College of London in 2013 and continued to gain his expertise in managing urological oncology while undertaking a fellowship post at Addenbrookes hospital in Cambridge. Currently, Mr Ali has introduced the new technique of En-bloc resection of a bladder tumour in addition to using narrowband imaging and blue light cystoscope at his department. Mr Ali is currently involved in NIHR funded trial to investigate the role of novel markers in overactive bladder syndrome. “

Dr. Thwaini started his career in Urology at the Royal Medical Services in Jordan, and moved to Abu Dhabi where he worked for three years as a specialist at SKMC. He later worked in Belfast City Hospital, Altnagelvin Hospital and Craigavon Hospital, working with regional and national experts in the field in Northern Ireland.

Dr. Deborah Mukherji is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine (Oncology) and joined the faculty of the AUBMC in June 2012. Dr Mukherji completed her advanced specialty training in Medical Oncology at Guys and St Thomas’s NHS Foundation Trust, London UK and was awarded a Post-Graduate Diploma in Oncology from the Institute of Cancer Research, University of London in 2011.

Dr.Emad Anwar Dawoud, MD, PhD is a Consultant Clinical Oncology at Tawam Hospital (Affiliated with Johns Hopkins) Al Ain, UAE

Dr. Hosam Al-Qudah is a Board-Certified consultant Urologist with Fellowship training from the United States of America. He then moved to the United States of America to have subspecialty training in Reconstructive Urology from Wayne State University and Transplant Surgery in University of Maryland. He did his third fellowship in Uro-Oncology and advanced Laparoscopy at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida from July 2006 until June 2007.

Dr. Jawaher Ansari completed his Clinical Oncology specialist training in Birmingham, UK and worked as a Consultant at the Beatson Cancer Centre in Glasgow, the second largest cancer center in the UK, prior to moving to the Middle East. Dr Ansari has been a principal investigator for several practice-changing international clinical trials and has authored several peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters. His specialist interests are Urology, Breast and Lung cancers.

Dr. Maroun El Khoury completed his basic medical training from Saint Joseph University School of Medicine Beirut, Lebanon in 1999. He is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and American Academy of Pain Management. Dr. Maroun El Khoury’s specialty is Oncology and currently work as a Consultant Oncologist.

Mohammed Shahait, M.B.B.S. is a doctor of Urology and minimally invasive surgery with extensive experience in the management of complex genitourinary tumors. After receiving his medical degree from the Jordanian University of Science and Technology, he completed his residency at the Division of Urology and Kidney Transplant, at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC). Dr. Shahait afterwards completed a two-year fellowship in Endourology laparoscopic and robotic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical center, followed by a prestigious one-year fellowship in advanced robotic surgery at University of Pennsylvania. He later joined King Hussein Cancer Center, Amman, Jordan as a consultant of uro-oncology. Dr. Shahait’s research focus is on the outcomes of patients undergoing robot-assisted radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer and has more than 40 peer reviewed articles. Clinical Interest • Treatment of prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, and testicular cancer. • Robotic surgery for prostate, kidney, and bladder diseases. • Endoscopy and Laparoscopic surgery. • Kidney stones.

“Dr. Mohsen El Mekresh is a professor of urology and kidney transplantation in the Urology Centre, Mansoura University, Egypt. 1997 and 2003. He moved to Abu Dhabi in 2008 and joined Mafraq tertiary care-JCI accredited- hospital. Dr. El Mekresh established a state-of-the-art referral urology center in Mafraq Hospital and held the post of Chief of Urology ,Chair of Surgery and Chair of SEHA Urology Council between September 2008 and October 2018. Then he moved to Nation Hospital to establish The Urology and Men’s Health Center and to hold the CMO post. Currently he is the Head of Urology and men’s health at Mediclinic Middle East He is an author of numerous peer reviewed publications and is a reviewer and member of many international scientific committees and urologic associations.”

Dr. Mudhar is a consultant urologist with over 15 years’ experience. He worked at Danderyd University Hospital and Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden for the last eight years. Dr. Mudhar is a well experienced endourologist and robotic surgeon dealing with renal stones, bladder tumours and upper urinary tract tumors together with prostate cancer. Dr Mudhar has done more than 350 robotic procedures.

Dr. Omer Al Derwish’s specialty is Urology and currently works as a Consultant Urologist. His treatment of prostatic diseases including surgery and laser therapy, treatment of kidney stones, erectile dysfuction and male hormone abnormality, urinary tract infections and obstruction, urinary and genital tract cancers, voiding abd bladder dysfuction adults and children.

“Rabii Madi is a Urologic Oncologist with 15 years of academic and clinical experience in Urologic Oncology and Minimally Invasive Surgery. He was the director of robotic surgery at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland before moving to Georgia and heading the Urologic Oncology and robotic surgery programs at Augusta University Health for 9 years. Dr. Madi is among the most experienced robotic surgeons in the USA. He has performed more than 2000 robotic surgeries and has more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and 120 presentations in national and international meetings. He has pioneered new techniques and approaches in urologic oncology and robotic surgery.”

Dr Rana Irfan Mahmood is a British trained oncologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience. He moved to Dubai from the NHS, UK where he was working as Consultant Oncologist, leading cancer services across Colchester and Ipswich hospitals as Clinical Director. He also worked in King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre Riyadh as consultant oncologist while setting up advanced brachytherapy and Intra-operative radiotherapy services there in addition to enhancing the quality of cancer care as Quality Medical Director. He is well known for developing advanced forms of Image Guided Radiotherapy and Brachytherapy in several centres. Moreover, he is expert in managing patients with Immunotherapy for several types of cancers. Dr Rana Mahmood has extensively published his clinical experience and research work in peer reviewed journals. He has trained a number of oncologists and teaches at the Royal College courses. He has been awarded Fellowship of both Royal College of Physicians and Royal College of Radiologists in UK. He led several international trials, for advanced radiotherapy, Immunotherapy and other biological/molecular agents. He is member of American Society of Oncology and European Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology. His special expertise include Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SABR/SBRT), MRI guided High Dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy for Cervix/Prostate cancer, LDR Brachytherapy for Prostate cancer, molecular radiotherapy, Biological targeted therapies and Immunotherapy.

Dr. Yasser Farahat currently serves as Professor of Urology at Tanta University, Tanta, Gharbia, Egypt. He is also acting as a senior consultant of urology at Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital (SKGH-UAQ), UAE.
