Dr Abhishek Mahajan received his Medical (2005) and M.D. (2009) degree from world’s top 150 and India’s top 5 Medical Schools, the Kasturba Medical college, Manipal. He was Cancer Imaging Fellow at Asia’s leading cancer hospital and teaching Institute, the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), Mumbai from 2009-2011. After finishing his fellowship, he joined as faculty at the Tata Memorial Centre (October 2011), Mumbai and served until February 2022 as Professor of Radiology and Consultant radiologist. During his tenure at the Tata Memorial Centre, he took sabbatical year and did his Masters in Translational Cancer Medicine from the King’s College London (2013-2014). He also completed three visiting observerships: PET-MR 2015 at KCL London, Brain AI lab 2018 Harvard Medical Centre (Martinos) Boston, Robotic Image guided Skull base surgeries 2018, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Brisbane. He worked at the Hodgkin’s lab (KCL London) on HPV and Hypoxia in H&N cancer and at the Medical Image Processing lab (Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital London) on sarcopenia and radiomics in NSCLC. Dr Mahajan started working at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in March 2022 as a Consultant Radiologist with special interest in head and neck, thoracic and neurological malignancies.

Dr. Alex superspecialised into the field of breast imaging ,working as a dedicated breast consultant at The Bone and Breast Care Centre, Johannesburg. Arriving in Dubai, 2008, she established the first dedicated breast imaging unit at Mediclinic City Hospital, offering image guided breast interventions to limit unnecessary surgeries and guide more personalised treatment options.. She is involved in medical student teaching and student research projects through the Mohammed Bin Rashid University.

Dr. Amer Al Khatib, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Digestive Disease Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Al Khatib worked as an interventional gastroenterologist at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Oklahoma, US. Dr. Al Khatib earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan, before pursuing medical training in the US. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas, Houston, US and then practiced medicine in Spokane, Washington, US. He later joined the University of Utah’s liver transplant team and completed a gastroenterology fellowship. Dorria Salem 1953, Egyptian radiologist, MD, Cairo University 1987. A professor at Cairo University teaching hospital, since 1998 and the general manager of the women’s health outreach program [National Egyptian breast screening program] since 2007. She is one of the pioneers in the women’s imaging the thing that put her in a very distinguished position on the national level as well as the Arab level. She is the founder of the women’s imaging unit at the radiology department at Cairo university teaching hospital since 2003. She has recently been selected to be a member in the Middle East board of Aunt Minnie radiology website.

Dr. Hemant Vadeyar is a Gastrointestinal & Liver Specialist with a particular interest in Diseases of the Liver, including fatty liver, hepatitis B & C, liver cancers and liver cirrhosis. He is presently a Consultant Gastrointestinal, Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary and Liver Transplant Surgeon at Mediclinic City Hospital.

Dr. Mordani is an experienced interventional radiologist with many years of UK-based experience in both diagnostic and interventional radiology. Dr Karim Elmasry is a British, Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology dual accredited obstetrician and gynaecologist and subspecialist gynecological oncologist. Dr Elmasry’s career has taken him all over the world as a surgeon, presenter and educator. In addition to his work at Mediclinic City Hospital, he is also Head of Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and gynaecological oncologist at Al Noor Hospital Airport Branch in Abu Dhabi. As one of the few western board certified gynae-oncologists in the UAE, he is committed to helping women with gynaecological malignancies and is frequently called upon as an expert for difficult benign and cancer gynaecological cases throughout the UAE. Dr Elmasry trained and started his career in the UK. He qualified from the University of Nottingham Medical School and underwent training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in major teaching hospitals in Nottingham and London including Queen’s Medical Centre, University College London, St Bartholomew’s Hospital and Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital. He specialised in minimal access surgery and, after obtaining his CCT in ObGyn, underwent a fellowship training programme in Gynaecological Oncology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, UK. Dr Elmasry has been actively involved in research throughout his career and has set up international collaborative studies with many entities. He has received many national and international awards for his work helping women with gynaecological cancers including the 2015 ‘Al Wessam Champion’ (SEHA Best Physician category in the ‘Physician & Technical Award’ Category).He is often ask to speak on TV and radio as an expert on this topic.

Dr Leila is a Consultant Radiologist with particular expertise in Breast and Gynaecological Imaging, who has international experience having trained in leading teaching hospitals in London. She completed her medical training at the University of Cape Town, South Africa where she obtained her MBChB with Honours. Dr Leila went on to complete her Clinical Radiology training in London Northwest University Hospitals Trust, U.K where she obtained a fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists FRCR(UK) in 2016. She undertook a clinical fellowship in Breast and Gynaecological Imaging at London Northwest University Hospitals and Imperial Hospitals Trust, and obtained her Clinical Certificate of Specialist Training in Radiology (CCST) in 2019. Dr. Maroun El Khoury’s specialty is Oncology and currently work as a Consultant Oncologist.

She is a Consultant Radiologist at Tata Memorial Hospital with special interest in Breast, Gynaecological and Urological malignancies.

Dr Porcu is an established oncologist within the areas of breast, gastrointestinal, head and neck, prostate, brain, gynaecological, skin and thyroid cancers. She is experienced in the management of all malignant diseases, combining chemotherapeutic agents with advanced radiotherapy techniques. Dr Porcu graduated from the prestigious La Cattolica University, Rome in 2005 and obtained her speciality degree in Radiotherapy and Oncology from the University La Sapienza, Rome in 2009. She has been instrumental in developing advanced radiotherapy treatment techniques such as Intensity and Volumetric Modulated Radiotherapy (IMRT-VMAT), Intraoperative Radiation Therapy (IORT), Stereotactic Radiosurgery using Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Breath Hold Radiotherapy, Carbon Ions Therapy and Proton Therapy. In 2010, Dr Porcu was awarded a grant from the European Institute of Oncology, for a clinical research project on hypo-fractioned treatments in breast cancer. As a result, she has become a leading authority in the field of intra-operative radiation therapy in breast cancer. In the same year, Dr. Procu also became a consultant in Radiation Oncology working closely with the European Institute of Oncology in Milan (IEO) and the Italian National Centre for Hadrontherapy. Dr Porcu has written a number of published articles and she also actively participated in ongoing clinical trials particularly related to breast cancer, prostate cancer and gastrointestinal malignancies. In 2016, Dr Porcu was enrolled into the United Kingdom’s General Medical Council Specialist Register as a Clinical Oncologist. She also worked at Royal Free Hospital, London, as a consultant in Clinical Oncology and was the Oncology lead in several multidisciplinary team meetings and developed protocols within departments. She is an active member of the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO), the British Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) and the Italian Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (AIRO).

Dr. Pietie Loubser qualified as a Medical Doctor at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa, in 1986 and subsequently as a consultant anaesthetist in 1996 [M. Med (Anes)]. Dr. Loubser also obtained a Fellowship from the College of Anaesthesiologists (FCA) in South Africa in 1996 and successfully completed his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) at Stellenbosch University Business School in 2007. Dr. Loubser practised as an anaesthetist in Windhoek, Namibia, for 12 years before moving to Dubai when he was initially appointed as Chief Clinical Officer for Emirates Healthcare Limited, a joint venture between Mediclinic International, General Electric and the Varkey Group. Dr Rana Irfan Mahmood is a British trained oncologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience. He moved to Dubai from the NHS, UK where he was working as Consultant Oncologist, leading cancer services across Colchester and Ipswich hospitals as Clinical Director. He also worked in King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre Riyadh as consultant oncologist while setting up advanced brachytherapy and Intra-operative radiotherapy services there in addition to enhancing the quality of cancer care as Quality Medical Director. He is well known for developing advanced forms of Image Guided Radiotherapy and Brachytherapy in several centres. Moreover, he is expert in managing patients with Immunotherapy for several types of cancers. Dr. Rehaan Nensey is a Consultant Radiologist at Mediclinic Parkview hospital, Dubai.
