Dr. Bhawna Sirohi is currently a consultant medical oncologist in GI & breast cancers and Director of Medical Oncology at BALCO Medical Centre,Nava Raipur, India. She is an honorary consultant with Queen Mary’s University, London. She was previously working at The Barts Health NHS Trust, London. She started her oncology training in India in 1994 at the Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai and completed at Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, UK. She has been working as consultant medical oncologist since 2008, in breast and GI cancers and acute oncology, both in India and UK. She has published more than 100 papers in national and international journals and lectured worldwide. She has edited three books on Cancer – Cancer- Questions Answered, Chemotherapy in GI cancers & Modern GI Oncology. She is the immediate past editor-in-chief of Indian Journal of Medical and Paediatric Oncology. She is currently the President of the Oncology section of the Royal Society of Medicine.

Dr. Diaeddine Trad is a Consultant of Medical Oncology, at Tawam Hospital, in Al Ain, UAE. He is a member of the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). He is an investigator in several ongoing clinical trials. Dr. Trad is certified as a specialist in internal medicine, hematology and oncology by the Lebanese Ministry of Health. His research interests include; Lung cancer, GI malignancies, and breast cancer. Dr. Trad was a speaker in many international conferences and forums.

Dr. Faisel Ikram joined Mediclinic City Hospital as Consultant General Surgeon/ Surgical Gastroenterologist with special interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery. After completing his surgical training at Johannesburg General Hospital, he took up a consultant position at the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology and was a lecturer at the Wits Medical School, University of Witwatersrand. He completed his sub-speciality training and continued to work as a Senior Consultant in his unit, specialising in surgical oncology. He has been actively involved in conducting training workshops in basic and advanced laparoscopy in South Africa. Asst Prof Dr. Faraz Khan is a Consultant Hematologist and Medical Oncologist with over 15 years experience in treating cancer and various blood diseases. He completed his Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical oncology training from the University of Connecticut, CT, USA and is triple board certified in Internal medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. He worked as a consultant Hematologist/Medical Oncologist at PEI Cancer Treatment Center, PE, Canada and directed the provincial hemophilia and bleeding disorder clinic.

Dr Fathi Azribi is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at American Hospital Dubai. His main interest is in thoracic, breast, gynaecological and gastrointestinal malignancies, with expertise in treatment with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormonal, and targeted therapy. He also founded the first Medical Oncology Fellowship program in the UAE.

Dr. Mordani is an experienced interventional radiologist with many years of UK-based experience in both diagnostic and interventional radiology. He has a keen interest in vascular and non-vascular intervention and he regularly performs procedures such as peripheral vascular angioplasties and stents, hepato-biliary drainages and stents, selective celiac/mesenteric and renal embolisations, ultrasound and CT-guided biopsies and drainage and trans-jugular liver biopsies. Dr. Mordani attained a Fellowship in Interventional Radiology from the University Hospitals Network in Toronto, Canada and, among others, is a member of the British Society of Interventional Radiologists.

Dr. Shiu is a Consultant in the Gastrointestinal Oncology Unit at University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Honorary Associate Professor at the UCL Cancer Institute. His research interests include immunotherapy for GI malignancies and Cancer of Unknown Primary, as well as the development of novel cancer clinical trial designs. He is the Principal Investigator of the UCL/UCLH Gastrointestinal Cancer Translational Research Biobank and member of ASCO, ESMO and the Chair of the Association of Cancer Physicians New Consultant Group.

Dr. Das is a senior specialist oncologist in Dubai academic and health corporation (formerly DHA) since more than a decade. He has done his internal medicine fellowship in 2008 and medical Oncology fellowship in 2011. He continued his clinical and academic excellence and achieved membership of American college of physicians and royal college of physicians and surgeons Glasgow, UK mad succeed to get specialty certification in medical oncology from Royal college of physician UK. He has worked on different positions in Pakistan, Qatar and in UAE. He has been participating as faculty member in EIOC (formerly UAE-CC) since 09 consecutive years.

Dr. Khalid Balaraj was initially trained in the United Kingdom. He has radiation oncology qualifications from – UK (FRCR (I), Ireland (FFR RCSI) and Canada (FRCPC). He has done 2 Clinical Fellowships from Canada, in Gynecology Brachytherapy and CNS Stereotactic Radiotherapy. He has worked as an Assistant Professor in Al Faisal University, Riyadh, as well as Consultant of Radiation Oncology, for 7 years, treating patients on the latest technology, including IMRT, IGRT, Tomotherapy, Rapid Arc and Cyber- Knife at King Faisal specialist Hospital, Riyadh. Dr. Balaraj has treated patients on international RTOG trials. He has been General Secretary of the Saudi Cancer Society and Oncology Advisor for the CME Oncology Program Middle East. Joined Tawam hospital as a chairman of Radiation oncology department on September 2011 Currently he is an assistant professor at UAE University and the chairman of Tawam hospital Oncology Services and the chair of oncology service line at SEHA.

Dr Raghav Sundar is a clinician-scientist specialising in gastrointestinal oncology. He is a consultant medical oncologist at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore, treating patients with gastrointestinal malignancies including colorectal, gastric and hepatobiliary malignancies. He also specialises in experimental therapeutics and early phase clinical trials, and is a part of the Phase 1 clinical trials team. He underwent fellowship training at the Drug Development Unit, Royal Marsden Hospital, UK. His research interest is in genomics of gastric cancer. He studies the interaction between the tumor epigenome and the immune microenvironment. His work has identified predictive biomarkers of systemic therapy in gastric cancer as well as potential therapeutic targets. His studies incorporate contemporary technology such as spatial transcriptomics and machine-learning. Another area of research interest is in chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy. As a translational clinician-scientist his works arches across several domains, collaborating with engineers, bioinformaticians, laboratory scientists, pharmaceutical and industry partners. He has published over 50 manuscripts, in high impact journals such as Cancer Discovery and Gut and secured over $4 million in grant funding to date.

“Dr Gerjy is the Director of Robotic Surgery at Mediclinic Middle East. He has trained and practised general and colorectal surgery in Sweden and has 20 years of experience in surgery. With his early interest in proctology he published several papers in this topic and accomplished his PhD degree in 2008. He is internationally known for his efforts in robotic and laparoscopic surgery, and is often invited as speaker at international conferences. Dr Gerjy is a faculty member of EARCS (European Academy of Robotic Colorectal Surgery) and also a founding member of the ESCP (European Society of Coloproctology) work group for robotic colorectal training. He has trained surgeons in robotic surgery both in Europe and South Africa, until this date Dr Gerjy has trained surgeons in 44 different hospitals around the world. Dr Gerjy was born in Lebanon but has lived most of his life in Sweden. He speaks fluent English, Arabic and Swedish.”

 Shaheenah Dawood is a consultant medical oncologist and professor in clinical oncology in the United Arab Emirates. She currently leads the oncology clinical trials program at Mediclinic City Hospital Dubai. She also serves as president of the Excellence in Oncology Care summit that is held annually in Dubai and is co-president of the Asia-Pacific Breast Cancer Summit (APBCS) and Asia-Pacific Gastroenterology Cancer Summit (APGCS). She has also recently launched the International BRCA Forum and Young Women’s Forum.

Professor Shailesh V. Shrikhande is a Gastrointestinal Cancer Surgeon from Mumbai, India. He has over two decades of experience with special interest in Pancreatic Cancer surgery. He is the Deputy Director of Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai and also the Head of Division Cancer Surgery and Chief of GI and HPB Surgery. He is the President of the Indian Chapter of IHPBA 2019 – 2021 and Scientific Committee Chair of IHPBA 2019-2021.

Dr. Syed Mansoor Hasnain is as Consultant Radiation Oncologist working in Tawam Hospital, since 2009. He has double qualifications & training , FRCS (Glasg) in surgery from Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow & radiotherapy training & Fellowship ‘FFR RCSI’ in radiation oncology from The Royal College Of Surgeons In Ireland. In Tawam in early 2011, Dr. Mansoor successfully led the commissioning and clinical use of the HiArt TomoTherapy system with IMRT & IGRT, one and only in UAE . In 2013 Dr. Mansoor chaired RapidArc committee, making sure smooth and swift implementation of RapidArc technology with IMRT & IGRT capability in Tawam. In 2015 Dr. Mansoor was appointed as Adjunct Assistant Professor in College of Medicine and health Sciences in UAE University. Professor Tobias Arkenau is a highly-respected Consultant Medical Oncologist who works at several HCA Healthcare locations, including Sarah Cannon Research Institute, The Harley Street Clinic, The Princess Grace and The Wellington Hospital. He also has an NHS post at University College London Hospital where he is a Professorial Research Associate. He was awarded his medical degree from Hanover Medical School in Germany in 2000. After this, he completed specialist training in oncology across several centres of excellence including the Royal Marsden Hospital. He was given a Fellowship by the Royal College of Physicians, and is highly regarded for his research contributions to his field of Gastrointestinal Cancers, Drug Development and Immunotherapy. Professor Arkenau is one of the founding Medical Directors of the Sarah Cannon Research Institute UK and is currently serving as Executive Medical Director for SCRI UK. He also has the role of Clinical Lead for the HCA Healthcare UK Cancer Service Line. This highly skilled physician has a wide range of experience in many different types of cancers, primarily gastrointestinal and skin cancers. He has published countless peer-reviewed articles and book chapters over the course of his career, and regularly presents at international conferences such as ASCO, ESMO and AACR. He also led the Sarah Cannon Institute UK as Chief Investigator for a number of clinical trials involving new anti-cancer treatments like immunotherapy and cellular therapy. Professor Vikram Chaudhari is a full-time professor in the GI and HPB Surgical division of the Department of Surgical Oncology at Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, India. He is a university-recognized teacher and examiner for MCh (Surgical Oncology) in India. His practice and research predominantly involve UGI and HPB Surgical Oncology. He has a keen focus on MIS in UGI and HPB Cancer Surgery (Robotic and Laparoscopic Pancreatic and Gastric cancer surgery in particular), Vascular resections in pancreatic surgery, and GEPNET management. He has more than 65 peer-reviewed publications to his name, has authored more than 15 book chapters, and edited 1 book on HPB oncology. He has delivered over 60 guest lectures and performed 8 live operative demonstrations in various national and international meetings.

Dr Zakir is the Chief of Staff and Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at Mediclinic Parkview Hospital and the Vice President of Emirates Society of Colorectal Surgeons He was Consultant Colorectal Surgeon at United Lincolnshire NHS Trust, following higher surgical training and CCT from Newcastle deanery with Fellowships of Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh. He also served as an Associate colorectal consultant at University of Hong Kong, and as Consultant at King Fahad Specialist Hospital, Dammam, before moving to UAE. His area of interests are minimally invasive surgery for Colorectal Cancers and IBD , HIPEC and PIPAC. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of Surgery at MBRU.
